Quality Manager in Rackheath

Cube Install Ltd is looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to take ownership of quality across our production facility and site installations. We manufacture and install specialist IPS panelling/panelling systems, and this role will help ensure that what leaves the factory and what is fitted on site meets the required drawings, specification and finish standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in carpentry or joinery and understand the practical challenges of manufacturing and fitting finished products. You will work closely with production teams, site fitters and joiners, project managers and designers to prevent defects, resolve issues and improve how we work. What you’ll be responsible for * Establish and manage clear quality processes for manufacture, dispatch and site installation. * Carry out inspections at key stages in the factory and on site, recording findings and ensuring issues are closed out. * Check finished products and installations against approved drawings, specifications, samples and agreed standards. * Work directly with site fitters and joiners to address workmanship issues and reinforce consistent installation standards. * Identify recurring defects, investigate their causes and put practical corrective actions in place. * Introduce checklists, hold points, sign-off records and handover processes that teams can use consistently. * Track rework, defects, snagging and customer feedback, using the results to drive measurable improvement. * Make quality expectations clear to factory and site teams, follow up on agreed actions and hold the relevant people accountable. * Coordinate with design, production and operations when drawing details, materials or site conditions could affect quality. * Support training and share good practice across the business. What we’re looking for * Experience in quality management, supervision or a senior hands-on role within joinery, carpentry, interiors, fit-out or a related manufacturing and installation business. * A sound understanding of workshop production methods and the standard of finish expected on site. * The confidence to work directly with fitters, joiners and production staff, challenge poor workmanship constructively and see corrective actions through. * Experience interpreting drawings and specifications and checking completed work against them. * An organised, practical approach to creating processes and maintaining accurate inspection records. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work across factory, design and site teams. * A full UK driving licence and willingness to visit project sites. Experience with IPS systems, washroom fit-out or specialist panelling would be an advantage. This is an opportunity to shape quality standards across the business.
