As Transport Operations Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Setting up new contracts
- Arranging deliveries and collections
- Planning the routes
- Liaising with customers and drivers daily
- Rerouting vehicles, when required, to resolve issues
- Keeping the management system up to date by inputting all data in a timely manner
- Undertaking general office duties as required
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience within a fast-paced transport office
- Experience in planning or routing vehicles (not essential)
- Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel)
- Strong communication (written and oral) and inter-personal skills
- The ability to work in a team
