We're currently seeking a Sales/Purchase Order Administrator to play a key role in our busy Sales/Purchasing Operations team. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer orders and supporting ongoing communication with both internal teams and valued clients.
Purpose of the Role:
You will process new and amended sales/purchase orders via our inboxes. This includes updating customers on order status (delivery dates, stock updates, etc.) and supporting the wider team with administrative and ad-hoc tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure sales/purchase orders are accurate and meet all business criteria
- Input and manage orders using the Sage system
- Liaise with multiple departments to ensure smooth order processing
- Coordinate and schedule customer collections
- Maintain live order records, ensuring all information is up to date for dispatch
- Provide inbound telephone support to the Sales team
What We're Looking For:
- Solid knowledge of Sales/Purchase Order Processing systems and procedures
- Ideally experience using Sage and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Proven ability to handle high volumes of data accurately
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A positive team player who can meet tight deadlines under pressure
