We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator with a FLT Counterbalance licence to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling, loading and unloading and maintaining warehouse safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and a Fork lift counterbalance licence.
Responsibilities
- Accurate picking and despatching of goods
- Operate forklift trucks with counterbalance capability safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Manage stock movement using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Load and unload materials from lorries, containers, and storage areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean, safe working environment at all times.
- Using a hand held scanner for picking and packing
The right person will...
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks with counterbalance attachments in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for stock control and documentation.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and health & safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Previous warehouse experience is essential as is team working and reliability.
In return you will work Monday - Friday days with an early finish on a Friday, have an attractive salary of £27,372 plus a bonus of £100/£150 a month and the basic salary will rise to £29,000pa after the probation period. You will also be eligible for enhanced benefits including life assurance, 34 days holidays and many more.
