Highly successful, niche business is currently seeking a Transport Operations / Route Planning Manager for the Vehicles Depot in Wrexham. Great opportunity to join a well established and continually expanding business within a fantastic industry. Excellent package on offer.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing and improving overall operational performance of the site, with a focus on route efficiency and planning (multi drop routes).
- Direct line management of approximately 60 staff and a fleet of 25 vehicles including route officers to ensure that the routes are planned and sequenced in advance.
- Working with the Depot Manager to look at route efficiency, ensuring collections are made from all customers.
- Manning the trucks with drivers and loaders and planning around holidays with agency staff as required.
- Being aware of all activity on site including opening and closing.
The successful candidate will have experience in logistics/operation management and route planning. With excellent communication, inter-personal, analytical and Microsoft skills, the successful candidate will be able to work in a team, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and have a flexible approach. A full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings/training/site visits is essential.
In return you can expect a salary of £38,000 - £40,000 pa benefits working Monday to Friday days. We will be interested in speaking to candidates who have extensive route planning experience and may be looking for a step up to management or already in a similar role.
