The predicted salary is between 30000 - 35000 Β£ per year.
Due to expansion and continued success, our client is currently seeking an addition to the Health & Safety team for the Rowley Regis Depot. Working alongside the HSEQ Director and H&S Manager, you will help to ensure compliance with relevant company and legislative requirements.
Duties will vary but include:
- Supporting the H&S Manager to implement and roll out safety training and awareness
- Carrying out safety inductions for office and operational staff
- Maintaining our database of all accidents and near misses
- The review and production of risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Safety auditing of operational sites, both general and focused
- Assisting in internal and external audits for the company ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System
- Conducting Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) to identify where additional or refresher training is required for those in operational roles, such as mobile plant competencies
- Providing support to incident investigations to identify root causes and preventative actions
- Providing training on manual handling and vehicle reversing (certified training to be provided)
- The production and delivery of toolbox talks, safety bulletins and safety alerts
- Reviewing Display Screen Equipment assessments carried out on DSE users
- Additional duties as required by the department and company
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- A recognised H&S qualification, such as NEBOSH National General Certificate, is highly desirable but not essential.
- An understanding and background in high-risk industries site based industries would be a distinct advantage.
Additional Notes:
- The role will involve travel between company sites and so a full and valid driving license will be required; a company car or suitable allowance (Β£5k) will be provided.
- Training may be provided both internally and at external training providers where required.
- You may be required to assist the company Environmental Compliance Manager or Transport Managers with instruction and trainings to employees.
In return you will start at Β£30-35,000 p.a. DOE plus Car.
