As Operations Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Setting up new contracts
- Arranging deliveries and collections
- Planning the routes
The role will liaise with customers and drivers daily and reroute vehicles, when required, to resolve issues. The role will be responsible for keeping the management system up to date by inputting all data in a timely manner and undertaking general office duties as required.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Worked within a fast-paced transport office
- Undertaken planning or routing vehicles
- Excellent IT (particularly Excel), communication (written and oral) and inter-personal skills
- The ability to work in a team, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
