What You'll Do
- Support and advocate for the mission and objectives of Cub.
- Assist in curriculum delivery within an allocated room, ensuring practice and provision meet the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Act as a Key Person to a group of children, building warm, supportive relationships based on trust and respect.
- Work in positive partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information promptly and professionally.
- Complete ongoing observations and accurate assessments of children.
- Use assessments, alongside knowledge of the child’s interests, to plan stimulating and engaging activities.
- Maintain accurate and informative records relating to the children’s development, supporting the children to make excellent progress.
- Maintain the health, safety, and security of all children through a vigilant approach to risk assessment, hygiene, and welfare.
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures, supporting less experienced colleagues to do the same.
- Apply confident safeguarding knowledge, understanding policies and responding when necessary, and support colleagues in this area.
- Take an inclusive approach regarding special educational needs and disabilities.
- Engage positively with visitors and external agencies.
- Contribute to the wider development of the nursery, including the Cub Curriculum.
- Provide cover in other rooms as required.
- Keep up to date with current developments and research, and disseminate updates to the team.
- Communicate professionally with others as an effective and supportive team member.
