The Role
We are looking for an Associate Lecturer in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health to join Coventry University Online, a sister company of Coventry University Group. The Associate Lecturer will be part of the Tutor Services Team and will be responsible for quality driven learning facilitation on a module-based system to a cohort of online students through the Aula learning platform.
You will be supporting the teaching of an array of modules at Post graduate level in key Forensic Psychology and Mental Health subject areas.
As Associate Lecturer you will have responsibility for preparation and delivery of learning support to individuals and/or groups, marking coursework, assignments, projects and examinations.
This is a thrilling opportunity for an experienced lecturer to deliver learning support in an exciting and new mode of study to a wealth of students from a global community.
Qualifications Required
Masters degree in appropriate subject
Or (if from Professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and/ or appropriate professional qualification and membership
Our Successful Candidate
You will be a subject expert in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health, with experience of teaching within a higher educational setting. You will have experience of innovative pedagogic practice, or (If from Professional practice background) evidence of high-quality presentation skills, and coaching, or mentoring and teaching other professionals.
The ability to deliver clear feedback on exercises and assignments is essential as well as ensuring that teaching challenges thinking, fosters debate and develops the ability of the students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
You will have experience of using technology to deliver learning support to large numbers of distance students alongside experience of driving learning by employing formative and summative feedback and supporting students to demonstrate course learning outcomes.
Experience of using FutureLearn, Aula, or similar is advantageous.
