Due to continued company growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join an industry leading client in the field of high-precision metrology solutions. This is a full time permanent role offering a fantastic chance to progress your career in a reputable and innovative business.
We are ideally looking for candidates based around South West Birmingham to be in a mobile role with travel to customer sites, where you'll deliver hands‐on technical support across a wide range of measurement and inspection systems.
Candidates must be time served in a relevant engineering discipline with experience in fault finding on mechanical or electrical systems. Experience working with CMM equipment is a must for this role also.
Standard hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30AM – 5PM
Key Duties of the Field Service Engineer:
- Travel to client locations to expertly install precision metrology instruments and integrated systems
- Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and servicing to maintain performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults, identifying and fixing mechanical, electrical, or software issues effectively
- Maintain detailed service reports and records to ensure clear documentation of all technical work
What We're Looking For:
- Solid experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and/or electrical faults
- HNC, BTEC, or similar qualification in an engineering field – or equivalent hands‐on experience
- Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is a strong advantage
- Highly organized with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Full and valid UK driving licence is essential
