Responsible: Contracts Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Due to a new contract we are seeking to employ a multi trades operative. The job will require the individual to work flexibly and travel across South Down and also use their own initiative in a fast-moving environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain communication with peers, client services team, contractors and management
  • Responsible for measurements and quality control
  • Responsible for acting safely and following all company HS protocols
  • Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works within qualified work areas
  • Attend, diagnose and repair faults/issues having due regard to customer care in this specific environment
  • Commitment to a call out rota
  • Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently
  • Carry out the actual work to the high quality standards that CTS Projects Ltd expect
  • Uphold Data Protection Policies
  • Travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland as required with main work located around County Down
  • Check integrity of fire doors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of 1st and 2nd fix joinery (2nd fix predominantly), fitting wall and floor tiles, kitchen fitting, flooring etc.
  • Completed trade apprenticeship
  • Full clean driving License
  • Experience of working at heights / roof repairs desirable
  • Experience of working on maintenance contracts/Construction industry preferred
  • Fire door qualification (desirable)

Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times
  • Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed
  • Observe & follow all manual handling practices

In addition, as the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations, we will require a recent Enhanced Access NI certificate. CTS will perform an Access NI check as part of the on-boarding process. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from employment.
