We're seeking professional and dependable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our specialist transport operation based in Reading and Preston.

In return, we offer a guaranteed salary based on a 50‑hour working week, together with opportunities for scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Due to the nature of our operation, flexibility is essential and may include overnight stays, weekend working, early starts and late finishes.

  • Carry out deliveries throughout the UK safely, professionally and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, security, reliability and attention to detail at all times.
  • Complete vehicle checks, relevant documentation and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
  • Work to planned schedules while adapting to changing operational requirements when needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent CTS professionally at customer sites.

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Capable of carrying out the physical duties associated with loading, unloading and securing loads.
  • Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to travel reliably to Aldermaston (RG7 2PQ)
  • Flexible approach to working hours, overnight stays and weekend working
  • Experience transporting high value goods
  • Security clearance requirements

Due to the nature of our work, all offers of employment are subject to successful security screening and the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearances, including BPSS and Security Check (SC) & Developed Vetting (DV) clearance (where applicable).

All security vetting costs will be funded by CTS.
