CTSis a global security logistics provider, specialising in the secure storage and transportation of the world\’s most dangerous, difficult and delicate goods.
We\’re looking for a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor and Class 7 Manager to help manage the logistics, safety and compliance of our storage and transportation of dangerous goods by land, air and sea.
- Co-ordinate and execute transport movements across road, air, sea and rail from booking to final delivery.
- Work closely with Operations Co-Ordinators, Warehouse and Drivers to ensure accurate load planning and resource.
- Support planning and delivery of UK domestic and international road haulage, including time-sensitive, secure and DG movements.
Compliance and DGSA support
- Act as DGSA lead, reviewing documentation, providing guidance and assisting with incident reporting and annual reviews.
- Maintain regulatory logs, training records and internal audit schedules related to ADR and dangerous goods.
- Ensure operational procedures align with ISO standards and regulatory requirements (HSE, DfT, ONR etc).
Customs and trade compliance
- Prepare and review export and import documentation including commercial invoices, DUCRs, EXS/ENS, T1 and C88.
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure correct declarations and bonded movements.
- Maintain compliance with export control regulations including dual-use goods and military equipment.
- Monitor licence usage (OGELs, SIELs), end-user documentation and classification (ECCN, TARIC codes).
Audit and risk management
- Maintain and execute compliance checklists for each job ensuring documentation, routing, security and licensing are correct before movement.
- Conduct internal audits on customs entries, DG paperwork, permits and procedural adherence.
- Support risk assessments for new transport lanes, commodities and secure movements.
Process development and continuous improvement
- Support development of SOPs, checklists and compliance protocols across all transport modes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance visibility, control and customer confidence.
- Assist in compliance reporting to regulatory authorities and customers.
- Lead training programme and requirements for the business.
Undertake any other duties as may be required by Senior Management commensurate with the responsibilities of the job or the requirements of the business.
