We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Lead to oversee all mechanical systems and services within our construction projects. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical works—including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection—ensuring technical excellence, cost-efficiency, and on-time execution. This role is vital to the successful integration of mechanical systems into high-quality building solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical systems across assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, architectural) to ensure integrated system design and construction.
  • Supervise and manage mechanical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor mechanical work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Review mechanical designs, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide technical input during design development, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
  • Lead the testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot site-based mechanical issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Ensure all mechanical installations comply with relevant local/international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks to maintain high construction standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to QA/QC, commissioning, and O&M manuals.
  • Lead and mentor mechanical site engineers and supervisors.
  • Chair or attend coordination meetings and interface with project stakeholders.
  • Report mechanical status, risks, and mitigation plans to project leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in mechanical systems delivery on large projects.
  • Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with BIM and mechanical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
  • Strong technical and engineering background in mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable mechanical solutions (e.g., energy efficiency, green building standards) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
