We are looking for Material Site Technicians to join our team in Heathrow for Concrete, Asphalt and soil testing and sampling. This is a no experience necessary position with full training provided. We look for a strong work ethic, love for working outdoors and a team player.

Experience and Skills

  • Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous but not required.
  • IT literate.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Accurate and consistent record keeping is essential.

Working Hours

42.5 hours per week with longer days expected due to travel. Monday to Friday. Night work and weekend work may be required when necessary.

Reporting

Responsible to Operation Supervisors and Operational Manager.

Outcome

Responsible for output of accurate testing data.

Objectives

  • To produce test results in accordance with documented procedures, standards and specifications.
  • To ensure testing and sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and company requirements.
  • To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments.

Duties

  • To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the company Health & Safety Policy.
  • To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in‑house procedures, expeditiously.
  • To integrate into the team and maintain strong harmony and morale in the laboratory.

Main Tasks

  • To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment at all times.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks directed by senior staff.
