We are looking for Material Site Technicians to join our team in Heathrow for Concrete, Asphalt and soil testing and sampling. No experience necessary position, full training will be provided.
We need a strong work ethic, outdoor working and a team player mindset.
Work will be outside on a variety of sites and major projects, carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities. Some early starts, travelling and occasional night or weekend shifts may be required (with allowances).
Skills & Qualifications: Educated to GCSE level or above with good numeracy and literacy skills. Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous but not required. IT literate and full UK driving licence. Must maintain accurate and consistent record keeping.
Working hours: 42.5 hours per week (longer days with travel). Monday β Friday, with occasional night work and weekend work as required.
Reporting to: Operation Supervisors and Operational Manager.
Accountability: Responsible for output of accurate testing data.
Objectives
- To produce test results in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
- To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and company requirements.
- To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments.
Duties
- To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.
- To integrate into the team and maintain a strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory.
Main Tasks
- To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
- To maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment at all times.
- To carry out any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
