We are looking for Material Site Technicians to join our team in Harrietsham for Concrete, Asphalt and soil testing and sampling. This is a no experience necessary position; we will give full training. All we need is a strong work ethic, a preference for outdoor work and being a team player.
You will be working outside on a wide variety of sites and major projects, carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities. Some early starts with travelling and occasional night shifts may be required; allowances are paid.
Experience / Skills:
- Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous but not required.
- IT literate and full UK driving licence required.
The role will also require accurate and consistent record keeping.
Working hours:
- 42.5 hours per week (longer days to be expected with travel).
- Working Monday – Friday, night work when necessary with options for weekend work when available.
Responsible to: Operation Supervisors and Operational Manager.
Responsible for: Output of accurate testing data.
Objectives:
- To produce test results in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
- To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements.
- To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments in which to work.
Duties:
- To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.
- To integrate into the team and maintain strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory.
Main Tasks:
- To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
- To maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment at all times.
- To carry out any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
