Responsibilities

  • Post-Merger Integration & Transformation: Actively execute strategic integration work-streams between the UK subsidiary and Group HQ. This includes the hands-on migration of financial systems, streamlining intercompany settlements, and resolving gaps between legacy workflows and Group standards.
  • Group Governance & Control: Design and implement robust internal control frameworks and SOPs aligned with Group policies. Ensure strict adherence to authorization matrixes and escalation protocols for material financial decisions.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Provide direct financial support to GM and commercial teams to optimize profitability. Act as a key advisor on customer-facing financial matters, credit risk assessments, and contract financial terms.
  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and reconciliation tasks to improve regional efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support Group leadership on various strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaborations as required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field. Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience. A mix of Big 4 audit and “in-house” experience within the Internet, Tech, or Travel industry is ideal.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS is mandatory. Proficiency in advanced Excel and a proven ability to quickly master new financial software/ERPs is a must.
  • Communication: Exceptional cross-functional communication skills. Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluency in Mandarin is required to support Chinese stakeholders.
  • Mindset: A “hands-on” operator who thrives in a fast-paced, “startup-mode” environment. Must be highly organized, ethically grounded, and comfortable with occasional international travel or secondment.
