Working in the Pontypool area for our long-established client, the UK's leading food manufacturers and retailers. ctrg are currently recruiting for a dedicated team member to work as a Hygiene Operative in Pontypool, NP4 0JJ. This is a long-term position with the potential for a permanent position.

Duties will include:

  • Carry out day to day hygiene activities in line with daily requirements ensuring operational integrity.
  • General pot washing duties, cleaning lines and machines adhering to high company standards, general waste management.
  • Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure that chemicals are used and stored correctly.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the correct personnel.
  • Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Senior Operator.
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department.
  • Identify and highlight any opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality and performance in support of the overall shift plan.

Personal Attributes:

  • Good level of English ideally hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.

Hours of Work:

12 hr shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota - flexibility to be able to start either 5am, 7am or 9am.

Rate of Pay: £14.18 per hour, with the opportunity to increase to £14.76 after 12 weeks, depending on performance. Weekly pay.

Location: Pontypool, NP4 0JJ.
