CTRG: Mansfield are working in partnership with Fresh Produce Partners (FPP) at one of our key clients in NG17 to recruit a quality assessor to work with the Senior QA on site.
Your role would be working under the Senior QA as well as the technical team, product management team, procurement team and customer departments across the FPP business as well as the Co-op primary team at Castlewood.
Work Location: Castlewood Co-op Depot.
Role Summary:
- Ensure that products arriving at Castlewood Hub are checked against Co-op specifications and approved grower lists and that any findings are accurately reported.
- Verify that products dispatched from Co-op sites meet Co-op standards and customer expectations in terms of approved growers, packaging, quality specifications and presentation.
- Inform the FPP team about any quality issues or product risks observed during inspections.
- Support procurement teams with stock management and use in the Castlewood hub.
- Work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to your Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Clearly communicate between all colleagues in your team in a timely manner.
Example Duties would include but not limited to:
- Ensure that product at both Co-op depot hubs and final packed product on despatch at UK sites are inspected as per the Co-op quality specification, Co-op approved grower list and FPP protocols.
- Check product integrity and authenticity to ensure safety and legality.
- Ensure that all aspects of product quality, safety and integrity are accurately reported to FPP.
- Ensure that any temperature abuse or other storage and handling issues that can seriously affect product quality are immediately reported and product isolated as required.
- Inform the FPP team of any non-conforming product (quality, authenticity, integrity and packaging/ labelling).
- Immediately place on hold any non-conforming product (quality, authenticity, integrity and packaging/ labelling) and discuss next steps with the FPP Co-op team.
Technical and procurement team support:
- Responsibility to collect shelf-life samples and assessment, as required.
- Review and sign off grower date code and label information, based on agreed frequency of checks.
- Investigate any discrepancies between FPP and Co-op hub stocks or expected picking orders.
The role is Β£13 per hour and the shift times are slightly flexible - shifts can be worked over a Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday or a Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a day worked during the week.
