Machine Minder
Rate: £13.55 per hour, with the opportunity to increase to £14.11 per hour after 12 weeks' service, subject to performance.
Hours/Shifts Available:
- Wednesday to Saturday / Thursday to Saturday: 5:15pm to 3:00am

Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Machine Minder to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machinery runs continuously throughout the shift to maintain production targets and minimise downtime.
This is a fast-paced and physically demanding role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor assigned machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure machinery runs efficiently and continuously throughout the shift.
- Maintain production output while meeting quality standards.
- Perform regular machine checks and identify faults, defects, or performance issues.
- Carry out basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting where trained to do so.
- Report mechanical faults, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to achieve production targets.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records where required.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with company standards.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and production processes.
- Ability to identify and resolve minor machine issues.
- Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Physical coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Confidence using workplace technology and production systems.
- Experience training or supporting other team members.
- Leadership experience within a production environment.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices.
- Food manufacturing experience.
