The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Painter/Decorator to complete refresh and touch-up works across a live site (offices, welfare areas, corridors, warehouse spaces).
You will be confident working independently, managing your own daily plan, and delivering a tidy, high-quality finish while following site safety rules.
Hours & Pay: £13.00 per hour Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 (flexible start/finish possible). Overtime/weekend work may be available by agreement.
Your role as a Painter & Decorator:
- Prepare surfaces (cleaning, scraping, sanding, filling, caulking, masking).
- Apply primers/undercoats and finish coats using brush/roller (spray if competent).
- Carry out small patch repairs to walls/ceilings where required.
- Protect surrounding areas and fixtures; maintain a tidy work area.
- Handle paint/materials safely and manage basic stock levels.
- Dispose of waste correctly and hand back areas clean.
- Work safely in a live environment, following site rules, RAMS, and permits.
- Provide daily progress updates to the site contact/manager.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven painting & decorating experience in commercial/industrial or facilities settings.
- Strong eye for detail and a consistent, quality finish.
- Able to work independently and plan/sequence tasks.
- Good knowledge of H&S practice (COSHH, work at height basics, safe use of ladders/steps).
Desirable (not essential):
- CSCS card; NVQ L2 Painting & Decorating; PASMA/IPAF; basic patching/filling skills; experience in occupied/live sites.
- Right to work in the UK and two recent references.
