Position Type: 12-Week Temp-to-Perm opportunity
Shifts and Pay Rate: 20 hours a week, Mon to Fri - 4 hours a day (between 08:30am to 16:30pm) - £13.24p/h

This role offers a 12-week structured training and assessment pathway. Upon successful completion of your 12-week training, if a role exists and training has been completed to a high standard an opportunity to transfer to a permanent position would be open to you. No prior industry experience is required - Full Training is provided.
What Your 12-Week Training Pathway Looks Like
During your initial 12 weeks, you will receive fully hands‑on, structured learning to build your confidence and expertise in the sector:
- Weeks 1 - 3
- Coffin Preparation
- Introduction to Ceremonial Fleet Care
- Care Centre Maintenance
- Weeks 4 - 6
- Funeral Observations
- Ceremonial Vehicle Training
- Coffin Bearing
- Limousine Duties and Cortege Participation
- Weeks 7 - 10
- Ambulance Co‑driving
- Transferring Deceased
- Deceased Hospital & Private Residence Collections
- First Offices (Manager or Embalmer Lead Observations)
- Weeks 11 - 12
- Funeral Service Crew Duties Independently
- Conversion to FT Perm Discussions - where opportunity exists
What We Are Looking For
A Caring Nature: Exceptional empathy, discretion, and a calm, supportive professional manner.
Reliability: Strict punctuality and high personal standards of presentation.
Physical Capability: The role naturally involves a high degree of manual handling and heavy lifting (full training provided).
Driving Licence: A clean, valid UK manual driving licence is essential for handling fleet vehicles.
Flexibility: Willingness to participate in a shared, out-of-hours on‑call rota once fully trained (this could include some weekend and night work). (A full description of the FSC role can be provided).
