The rewards:

Hours:

  • PM drivers: Thursday – Sunday minimum, start time 3:00pm – 6:00pm (5/6 days in peaks)
  • AM drivers: Thursday – Monday or Friday – Tuesday, start time 1:00am – 4:00am (5/6 days in peaks)

The role of HGV Class 1 Driver:

  • Delivering chilled and ambient goods to food retail stores
  • Safe transportation and unloading of palletised and caged goods directly to store locations
  • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects correctly
  • Complying with Driver's Hours and WTD legislation

The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver:

  • Valid UK C+E (Class 1) licence with minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
  • Minimum age of 21
  • DCPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph
  • Excellent communication skills and flexible, can-do attitude
