CTR Select is recruiting for a high-growth wholesale food distributor based in Uxbridge and they are seeking an experienced Head of Fresh Produce to lead their expanding department. This is a hands-on leadership role combining operational management with commercial strategy.
Competitive salary and benefits. Office-based role with flexible working hours required to lead teams across shift patterns.
The Head of Fresh Produce will:
- Manage day and night teams, ensuring smooth operations, high quality, and staff development
- Oversee buying, supplier relationships, pricing, and sourcing decisions
- Drive category innovation and growth in collaboration with Sales and Marketing
- Improve processes, optimise efficiency, and manage operational costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards
Skills and Experience:
- Proven management experience, flexible across multiple shifts
- Previous experience working at a senior level within the foodservice sector
- Strong commercial, financial, and operational acumen
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualifications preferred (Supply Chain, Business, CIPS)
- Right to Work in the UK & valid UK Driving Licence
