CTR Select is recruiting a Senior Business Development Manager to join a leading organisation in the Defence and National Security sectors. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities across MOD departments, prime contractors, and system integrators. This is an external-facing role, combining client visits, customer engagement, and office-based work from Ascot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed personal and team sales targets.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within defence organisations and technology partners.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for defence and security markets.
  • Manage a pipeline of leads, delivering tailored proposals.
  • Lead bid responses, tenders, and proposals for defence projects.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings to clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support customers through the full project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in defence or security sales, ideally in technology, display, or integrated systems.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to present value-driven solutions.
  • Experience engaging with MOD, DE&S, DSTL, or Tier-1 defence contractors.
  • Knowledge of defence procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Security Clearance (SC/DV) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative.
  • Full clean driving licence required.
  • Must live locally within commutable distance to Ascot, Berkshire.
