Projects are predominantly in Central London, and therefore we would like to recruit London regional integration engineers to join our team. There will be opportunities to travel across the UK and Europe if engineers desire.
Job Description
We are expanding the size of our team to meet increased demand and have an immediate requirement for AV Installation Engineers.
This position will ideally suit an engineer with experience in the AV industry, looking to join a fun ambitious company. The individual will be well motivated to succeed in project delivery timescales and to a high installation standard. There will be opportunities to travel in the UK and Europe, should the candidate be looking for a change of scenery.
Outline Role Specification
Physical installation of first fix wiring and mounting hardware, brackets etc
Physical installation of equipment i.e., projectors, LED displays, speakers, microphones, cameras equipment racks etc) and power on check of the equipment in advance of commissioning
Read, understand and interpret audio visual system schematics and other construction drawings
Attending construction site coordination meetings and coordinating with other trades
Maintaining accurate up to date records of the onsite installation and feeding any changes back to our Technical Design team
Reporting to the Project Manager and Lead Project Engineer
Liaising with other internal departments, clients and contractors
Health and safety awareness and ability to pass the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) exam is essential
Attend training courses as necessary
A clean, full UK driving license will also be advantageous
Required Experience & Key Attributes
At least 2 years working in the industry or similar role. Required.
Cable Installation and termination. Required.
Hardware installation. Required.
Ability to plan ahead, organize efficiently and work tidily. Required.
Able to work as part of a team. Required.
Ability to think laterally finding an appropriate solution to a challenging situation. Required.
Good communication skills both verbal and written, being able to communicate competently with clients, construction professionals and other members of our team. Required.
Ability and desire to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail ensuring that we complete our work thoroughly, handing over to a happy customer with all relevant paperwork completed. Required.
Competent To a High Level Of Computer Literacy. Preferred.
Possess a good level of technical knowledge and experience working with Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing / Collaboration Systems such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom or from affiliated roles such as Cable / Satellite TV / Category Cabling Installations, Electrical works or general IP Network / Telephony Communications. Preferred.
Ambition to enhance technical knowledge and participate in industry education schemes such as Infocom / AVIXA CTS. Preferred.
