Couchbase is looking for an experienced Business Development/Partner Executive to lead our team successfully developing and managing partnerships in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Successful candidates will have experience selling Cloud and SaaS applications, middleware, database, data warehouse, and data integration technologies. Experience with cloud consumption models, open source, and SaaS software is essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about recruiting and managing Partners to drive new revenue streams.
You will need to demonstrate strategic thinking and help define and build the partner model at Couchbase, with a strong focus on partner sales. The Senior Director – Head of EMEA Partners must be adept at collaborating with multiple organizational units to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities- Drive the route to market partner strategy for Couchbase in EMEA
- Identify key Partners in the EMEA region
- Establish and develop commercial relationships with these partners
- Collaborate with sales and cross-functional leadership in EMEA and globally
- Work with the field sales team to close partner-influenced deals and manage partner relationships
- Enable partners to deliver Couchbase products and services to customers
- Develop joint marketing strategies with partners to build pipeline and enhance market awareness
- 15+ years of experience in business development, especially partner management
- Experience building new partner channels in a growth-stage private company
- Experience with Cloud &/or SaaS technology companies
- Knowledge of Cloud Service Providers, Global Systems Integrators, ISVs, and Regional System Integrators
- Enterprise software sales experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills focused on relationship building
- Strategic thinking with execution capability
