This role is based fully on-site. We are expanding our candidate network to support one of our clients' ongoing and upcoming digital infrastructure, tech facility, and complex MEP projects across the North of England.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Senior BIM Lead, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for digital delivery across major capital projects. You will oversee BIM workflows, manage multi-disciplinary model integration, and lead a dedicated team of BIM coordinators and technicians from design through to project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital Project Delivery: Oversee BIM strategy, Execution Plans (BEP), and information management in compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
- Team Direction: Lead, resource, and mentor a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians across active project phases.
- Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Direct spatial coordination, model integration, and clash resolution, with a strong focus on complex building services and technical systems.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main focal point for clients, design partners, and project teams regarding digital delivery protocols and CDE management.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement emerging BIM software tools, automated checking procedures, and digital workflows to increase efficiency.
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND:
- Experience: 6–8+ years of experience leading BIM delivery on large-scale, complex building or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Common Data Environments (ACC / BIM 360).
- Technical Background: Solid understanding of building services (MEP) integration and structural/architectural interface management.
- Education: Degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Leadership: Strong team management skills and experience managing multi-stakeholder technical reviews.
