The Role

We are seeking a proactive and high-performing Technical Support Engineer – Equipment Maintenance to provide technical and maintenance support for our consumer electronics testing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on hardware skills to ensure our complex testing equipment operates at peak performance, maintaining 100% uptime through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and calibration of testing equipment, including robotics systems, sensors, cameras, and electronic modules.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures, executing timely repairs or part replacements using spare components.
  • Execute quality control procedures to maintain high standards of equipment performance.
  • Test new procedures and applications, providing detailed technical feedback.
  • Document, record, and archive measurement data related to testing parameters and performance.
  • Support the production team with technical issues, ensuring seamless operations and training.
  • Regularly review and analyse equipment results to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Handle any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Key Requirements

  • Do you have a HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience?
  • Do you at least 3+ years of experience in hardware testing, maintenance, and service of electronic modules or testing equipment with a proven experience in maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic equipment?
  • Strong hands-on hardware troubleshooting and repair skills, including fixing network connections and replacing parts is a must!
  • Using Excel to document and analyse data as well as the ability to pull data from shop floor systems and analyse hardware-related parameters is preferred.
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics and iOS devices is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities to identify and resolve complex hardware issues.
