Our client is a local authority in North London, who requires an Assistant Arboriculture Officer to join and support its existing, busy team of arboriculture officers. The department is responsible for the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock and as such the role encompasses a broad range of duties including:

  • Tree inspections
  • Specifying remedial works
  • Instructing contractors and monitoring works
  • Updating the in-house tree database
  • Dealing with the public and other stakeholder enquiries

Suitable candidates should be educated to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture, be a good communicator and ideally have industry experience surveying trees. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is also beneficial, for which travel expenses around the borough will be reimbursed.

In return, a rate of up to £20.38/hr (c. £38k pa) is offered depending on experience, plus 28 days holiday (including banks). This is a temporary role which may become permanent after a probationary period.
