A new opportunity for a Graduate Optical / Sensor Engineer to join a start-up on a mission to challenge decades of diagnostic inequality in cardiovascular care. Our groundbreaking technology is leading a new era in the diagnosis of Ischemia with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (INOCA) — a condition that disproportionately affects women and has long been under-recognised and undertreated. We’re combining clinical insight, cutting-edge innovation, and a passionate, purpose-driven team to tackle one of the biggest blind spots in heart health.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious Optical Sensor Engineer to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary R&D team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help develop and refine microscale optical sensors at the heart of our medical devices. Your work will span from lab assembly and testing to supporting regulatory processes and manufacturing scale-up.

Location: On-Site in Shoreditch

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Company Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test high-precision optical sensors and medical device components
  • Document procedures, outcomes, and learnings clearly and accurately
  • Contribute to design verification and validation (V&V) testing
  • Help maintain lab equipment and ensure a safe, organised work environment

What You Bring

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Optics, or a related technical field
  • Hands-on experience with device assembly, testing, or lab work (in any industry)
  • An eagerness to learn and engage with technical drawings, schematics, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485 — training can be provided)
