Our client is a city-based accountancy firm looking to recruit a Client Account Administrator to cover a 9-month maternity contract.
Experience of managing client money accounts is essential!
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 pro rata + fantastic benefits
Location: City of London, stunning offices, great culture!
Hybrid based: From month 2 to month 9 2 days working in the office and 3 from home.
Hours: 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Client Account Administrator duties:
- Managing the client bank accounts in line with the ICAEW Client Money Regulations.
- Processing payments from client bank accounts in accordance with the ICAEW’s Client Money Regulations.
- Ensuring due diligence and payment request screening.
- Monitoring client bank accounts to ensure sufficient funds are available.
- Performing bank reconciliations, updating transaction histories and internal financial records.
- Open and close client accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements and complete the necessary documentation.
- Prepare and issue client account-related documents annually and as needed.
- Raise quarterly fee notes for client account services across all clients.
- Address internal and external queries related to client accounts, ensuring timely resolution and escalating complex issues to the Head of Compliance when necessary.
- Regularly review client accounts and assist with internal audits conducted by the Compliance Team.
- Provide holiday cover for other finance team members when they go on leave.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in managing client money accounts.
- Knowledge of ICAEW's Client Account Regulations.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Be used to using Microsoft Excel for reporting and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of Basecone, Twinfield, CCH is desirable.
- Be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks with accuracy.
