Looking to kickstart your career in accounting, taxation or auditing? Are you studying for a bachelor’s degree and interested in pursuing a career in accounting, taxation or auditing? Thinking of looking for a paid summer placement? CT: Accountants Advisers has a fantastic opportunity for you. This year we are offering two Summer Placement programmes, commencing from 15 June 2026 and lasting 7 weeks in our Edinburgh and Glasgow Offices. We offer a rotational Summer Internship programme to experience a range of departments, and an Audit specific internship with the Audit team.

About The Role

Over the 7-week period, you will either spend time with our growing Audit department, or rotate around some of our departments, including:

  • Accounts & Business Advisory
  • Audit
  • Assurance
  • Corporate Tax
  • Personal Tax

This internship gives you the chance to either experience what it’s like working in Audit or rotate across different departments, helping you determine which 2026/27 graduate role would be right for you after graduation.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct involvement in client work in the relevant departments and attendance at client sites.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learn how to carry out the day-to-day work of a Graduate Associate in our departments.
  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about the accounting industry.
  • General administration.
  • During the 7 weeks, you’ll work with fellow placement students on a group project to be presented to members of the Senior Leadership / Partnership Team.

About You

If you are:

  • An undergraduate in their penultimate year on track to pass your degree, in any subject.
  • Interested in a career in accounting, taxation or auditing.
  • An excellent communicator – both written and verbal.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Tenacious and able to see tasks to completion.
  • Curious and able to use your initiative to solve problems.
  • Resilient and able to work well in a busy team.
  • Highly IT literate (Microsoft Office in particular).

We have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. We work fully dynamically, meaning our team is trusted to work where it suits the situation best. There’s no mandatory office time, but you will need to come in regularly for meetings and events.
