The role requires a forward-thinking, diligent, and enthusiastic individual who is willing to travel around the UK. There are 28 centres across the UK, but efforts will be made to ensure local bases as much as possible. The position involves delivering some remote courses and weekend courses, which are paid at an overtime rate on a shift basis.
Essential qualifications include:
- 3 years of health and safety management experience in construction
- 3 years of site management experience in construction
- 3 years of project management experience in construction
The primary responsibilities include delivering:
- Site Safety Plus Courses (HSA, SSSTS & SMSTS)
- First Aid Courses
- IOSH courses
- A range of other courses
It is important to operate in line with CST Training values and behaviours while implementing policies and standards. The role requires proficiency in IT systems and adaptability to new technologies.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Delivering CITB related courses
- Delivering IOSH related courses
- Opportunity to develop assessing skills for ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management qualifications and NVQ Level 2 and above construction industry qualifications
Essential qualifications needed:
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 in Occupational Safety and Health
- Health and Safety degree
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D
- Diploma Safety Management Level 6
Additionally, a minimum of three years of occupational experience in a construction or health & safety related management role is required.
Desirable skills and criteria include:
- Excellent communication, IT, and written skills
- Clean driving license
- Great people skills
- Superb self-management skills
- Up to date CPD (minimum 12 months)
- Solid experience and competency across several disciplines
- CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate) or willingness to work towards this
- Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this
