The Role: Design Director / Practice Lead
Operating within an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EoS), you will act as our Integrator — the steady hand guiding day-to-day operations and translating strategic goals into clear, actionable plans. This leadership role demands a natural completer-finisher with an ownership mindset who thrives on structuring and optimising business operations.
You will:
- Lead and inspire our talented team of technical consultants and designers.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Director to shape and execute growth strategies.
- Drive innovation in design processes and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Influence contract strategy, procurement, and risk management to elevate industry standards.
- Champion flexible, balanced working patterns, including a work-from-home option, centred on London projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered status (RIBA preferred) with a construction-related degree.
- Minimum 5 years post-chartership experience in a leading building or construction consultancy.
- Strong background in design management, defect analysis, and UK construction consultancy contracts.
- Experience in construction monitoring and leading design or technical teams.
- A strategic thinker with excellent organisational skills and a passion for driving business success.
