Our client is a leading global supply chain specialising in labels and packaging solutions; due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Slitting Operative for their Kings Lynn site to start asap. This is a permanent role.
Rotating on a 3-weekly basis:
- Early Shift – Mon to Fri – 06:00 – 14:00 with 1 x 20 minute and 1 x 10-minute unpaid tea breaks.
- Night Shift – Sun to Fri – 22:00 – 06:00 with 1 x 20 minute and 1 x 10-minute unpaid tea breaks.
- Late Shift – Mon – Fri – 14:00 – 22:00 with 1 x 20 minute and 1 x 10-minute unpaid tea breaks.
Very competitive salary offered.
Reporting directly to the Manager/Supervisor.
Key Responsibility & Duties:
- Ensure that company written procedures are adhered to at all times, i.e. Employee Handbook, Health and Safety at Work and Hygiene Controls.
- Ensure any pre-user checks are completed as identified on the H&S/Cleaning schedule document or as part of the SFDC system.
- Ensure that you are familiar with and understand the Standard Work Procedure for Slitting PR20.
- Machine is to be set up and run as per the specification sheet and drawing of the appropriate job.
- Ensure planned production outputs are met without sacrificing quality, safety or procedures.
- Ensure that regular checks are made whilst the machine is running, i.e. slit width.
