About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Night Shift Forklift / Warehouse Operative to join our busy metal manufacturing and distribution operation in King's Lynn. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, loading, and unloading of metal products within our warehouse and production facility.
Working as part of the night shift team, you will be responsible for operating counterbalance forklifts, handling stock safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are prepared and dispatched accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload metal products, materials, and deliveries.
- Move stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Conduct stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all goods are stored safely and correctly.
- Carry out routine forklift safety checks and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly when handling metal products and heavy materials.
- Support general warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience handling heavy or industrial materials is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
