CSS Recruitment are currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager for a project in Somerset. Working hours - 10 hour days. 07:30-17:30 / 08:00-18:00. This is a site-based role 5 days per week. Driving to site is required, parking on site is available.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with client on H&S issues or concerns.
  • Report any immediate safety issues to the Operatives and management team, and to stop work if required, including positive interventions.
  • Monitor SHE best practice and site accident/incident reports & advise on application of necessary changes to relatable works activities/methods.
  • Carry out bi-weekly Supervisor Safety meeting.
  • Attend H&S meetings.
  • Attend H&S site walk as required.
  • The role will require regular site attendance and the site is vast, so can be physically demanding at times with the requirement to consistently monitor site wide personnel.

Requirements

  • Valid NEBOSH Construction certificate or NV3 Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Gold, White or Black CSCS card.
  • 3 years experience minimum in a construction focused H&S role.
  • References upon request.
