Junior Buyer

CSS Recruitment are looking for a Junior Buyer to join a thriving team in Stockton-on-Tees.

This job role is office based.

Ideally looking for a person who has mechanical experience – will consider someone who works on the trade counter at a wholesaler.

Procurement

• Source, negotiate and open new supplier accounts in line with the preferred supplier’s list policy.
• Work with Contracts Managers and site teams to collate and procure call off orders on a sale or return basis.
• Procure the day-to-day site materials requirements and the best possible terms ensuring all deliveries are as requested and within any site delivery stipulations.
• Assist contract managers in collating and sending out subcontract and bulk material packages enquiries.
• Collate received quotations, review and summarise where requested.

Plant Hire & Plant Procurement

• Source and procure at the best terms and plant and equipment needed by the company and ensure the items are engraved and added to the plant register.
• Source and hire any plant/equipment for company use at the best possible terms and add to the plant hire register.
• Send out plant hire reports every Wednesday to the Operations Directors, Contracts Managers, and site teams to request the off hire of any unused hire plant.
• Explore new supplier opportunities and set up trading accounts.

PPE & Safety Equipment

• Explore and procure the PPE and safety equipment and ensure the company is compliant with the requirements set out by the health and safety officer.

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum
