CSS are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator on behalf of our client based in Colchester, Essex. This is a temp to perm opportunity, with a permanent position available after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
Working Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm, 4 days on, 4 days off including weekends.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar fast‑paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of outbound deliveries and supporting the day-to-day running of the supply chain operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily outbound deliveries to customers
- Manage the hire and de‑hire of supply chain equipment
- Liaise with transport providers and haulage companies
- Work closely with suppliers to minimise losses and control costs
- Act as the main point of contact between logistics and other departments
- Communicate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, or customer service role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience with outbound logistics and transport coordination
- Experience within FMCG, fresh produce, or food manufacturing is desirable
- Own transport is preferred due to the location and shift pattern, as public transport is limited
