Machine Operator in Boston

CSS Recruitment & Training are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join a busy frozen food manufacturing company based in Boston.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a full-time temporary-to-permanent position with a well-established food manufacturing business.

The Role

You will be responsible for operating high-speed packing machinery and ensuring production lines run safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Shift Pattern

The role operates on an 8-hour rotating shift pattern:

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00
• 22:00 – 06:00

Shifts rotate on a weekly basis, Monday to Friday.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a food processing or manufacturing environment, along with experience operating high-speed machinery.

Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures is also desirable.

Full training will be provided, although experience operating any of the following machinery would be advantageous:

• Bosch Bagger
• Multipond
• Rovema
• Newtech
• Hayssen
• Sandicare
• Ishida
• Yamato
• Vertical form-fill machines
• High-speed weighing machines

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Operating and taking responsibility for packing machinery, baggers and metal detectors.
• Running and controlling production lines safely and efficiently.
• Completing all required safety checks and procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the production process.
• Completing quality paperwork accurately and within the required timescales.
• Ensuring all products meet quality standards, including final box presentation.
• Completing washdowns within the required 4-hour timeframe.
• Maintaining effective knife and scissors control.
• Working towards production targets and quality standards.
• Carrying out a thorough handover to your colleague, ensuring the line is not left unattended.
• Following all food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties required as part of the role.
