CSR is working with a Belfast contractor wishing to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to specialise in Construction Contracts. The role focuses on advising the bid and commercial teams, negotiating with clients, and managing the process from tender stage through to contract execution. This is a key role within the company to ensure successful project delivery.
Other duties will include:
- Tender and Commercial Support
- Provide timely contractual and commercial support to the bid team throughout the tender process.
- Identify, assess, and advise on key contractual risks and opportunities.
- Deliver clear contractual advice and support to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Contract Negotiation
- Lead and support negotiations with clients across a broad range of construction contracts.
- Draft, review, and amend contract terms and associated documentation.
- Liaise with external stakeholders and advisors where required.
- Contract Governance and Execution
- Manage and oversee the contract approval and execution process.
- Ensure all final agreed commercial and contractual terms are accurately reflected in execution documents.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records throughout the process, from tender stage through to contract execution.
- Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs and confidentiality agreements with clients and, where required, the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records of all executed NDAs and related documentation.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Quantity Surveying or Law Degree
- Demonstrable experience working with construction contracts.
- Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of standard form construction contracts, including NEC and JCT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and stakeholder management capability.
