A leading MEP contractor in Belfast has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Preconstruction Manager to join the team. No UK mainland travel required. This role will suit someone working as a Pre-Construction Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager or with a Mechanical Design background.

Involved on projects within the Healthcare, Commercial & Residential sectors, key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development of exemplar building services designs to completion
  • Engage & manage design consultants by clearly identifying responsibilities, deliverables and required timescales and monitoring progress throughout the process
  • Engage with specialists to develop robust and cost-effective solutions for Contractor Design Portions (CDP)
  • Instigate technical workshops and attend design team meetings as required
  • Ensure compliance with Employers Requirements, Building Regulations, Standards and all applicable Codes of Practice
  • Assist in development of costs plans and ensure that design & procurement strategies are commercially advantageous
  • Manage the BIM process in accordance with our internal protocols and work in collaboration with our internal Revit team to develop fully coordinated models for installation
  • Develop & issue technical submittals for approval
  • Interface with our delivery team through the design process to give an update on progress, programming and commercial issues
  • Manage contracts during the design phase by issuing applications, Early Warnings & Compensation Events if necessary
