An expanding Fitout Contractor in North Dublin has a new opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team, working on a range of high-profile projects in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful commercial delivery of projects, managing costs, contracts, procurement, and client relationships from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strong commercial outcomes through accurate cost management and financial reporting.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including valuations, payments, performance monitoring, and final account negotiations.
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers in line with project procurement programmes.
  • Measure and value completed works, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor project costs against budgets, identifying risks, forecasting expenditure, and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Liaise with clients on commercial matters, including variations, claims, and additional payment agreements.
  • Identify and prepare contractual claims and supporting documentation where appropriate.
  • Produce and manage project cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting key deadlines.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within the construction industry.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Candidates with an HND/HNC and significant relevant experience will also be considered.
  • A valid CSCS or CSR card.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
