The CSR Group are working with an established environmental claims management company that provides specialist services to the insurance industry in response to environmental claims. Due to continued business growth, they are looking for a Consultant to join our Environmental Claims Division. They are looking for people who are professional and personable, who possess a good knowledge foundation, excellent communication and organisational skills, a high level of initiative and self-motivation. This is a great opportunity to develop skills and prospects within their expanding company and to gain vital experience within the commercial environmental industry.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • On site surveys of domestic properties including the collection of vapour, soil and groundwater samples.
  • Compilation of and interpretation of field and analytical data.
  • Preparation of reports, tables, and/or figures for reports.
  • Scoping of remedial works and preparation of costs for the scoped works.
  • Planning and scheduling of labour, plant and materials for the works.
  • Supervision of staff/subcontractors in the execution of investigations/remedial works on domestic properties.
  • Engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications/Skillset:

  • A minimum of two years experience in the environmental services and consulting sector or be able to demonstrate a similar level of relevant transferable skills/experience in a related sector (i.e. building, construction, geotechnical).
  • A recognised qualification in further education (i.e. Degree/HND in Environmental Sciences, Geology, Construction, Building/Building Surveying, Engineering) is preferred, but not essential.
  • A full, clean, UK driving licence is a pre-requisite.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Confident in interacting with clients/policy holders.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Experience in the use of CAD or similar is beneficial.
