An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor to join one of Dublin's most established and progressive main building contractors. The Opportunity

Reporting to an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of major projects from inception through to final handover. You will work as part of an experienced project team, gaining exposure to a broad range of commercial responsibilities while developing your expertise and taking on increasing levels of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with feasibility studies, assessing material, labour and programme costs.
  • Prepare, analyse and negotiate costs for tenders and contracts.
  • Support the effective coordination of commercial and project activities.
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Measure and value completed works and manage associated payment processes.
  • Prepare and manage valuations, variations and change control.
  • Assist with the preparation, negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
  • Work closely with the project, commercial and construction teams to identify and manage commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts and commercial records.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be a motivated and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor who is keen to develop within a leading construction business. You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a strong relevant construction background.
  • 4+ years' experience working in a Quantity Surveying position.
  • Experience within a main contracting environment would be advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of construction costs, commercial processes and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
  • A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
  • A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress within a growing organisation.
