An established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Belfast office. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a diverse range of projects across Northern Ireland, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across Northern Ireland.
- Manage projects from inception and feasibility through to construction and completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage communication between project stakeholders.
- Chair and lead client, consultant and contractor meetings.
- Oversee procurement activities and provide advice on appropriate procurement routes.
- Identify, monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor contractor performance, programme progress and overall project delivery during construction.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and professional guidance.
- Support and mentor junior members of the project management team.
- Assist with business development and contribute to developing new and existing client relationships across the region.
About You
- Substantial experience working in a construction consultancy environment.
- A strong track record of managing construction projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Experience coordinating and leading multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
- Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction procurement, programme management and project risk.
- Previous experience supporting, mentoring or developing junior project managers would be beneficial.
- The confidence and commercial awareness to independently manage complex projects and take responsibility for their successful delivery.
