Belfast based - limited travel. Want to own the full mechanical and electrical commissioning journey without being tied to a single contractor's agenda? In this business, you act as an independent commissioning authority, guiding complex projects from concept to completion.

You will lead and coordinate commissioning for mechanical, electrical and associated systems, ensuring they are delivered, tested and handed over in line with design intent, CIBSE and BSRIA standards, and client expectations. From early commissionability reviews and programme input through to seasonal commissioning and soft landings, you will be the person clients rely on to make sure buildings work in the real world.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement project-specific commissioning plans, programmes and procedures.
  • Manage commissioning teams and specialists, ensuring systems are properly tested, balanced and documented, with complete test packs and records.
  • Lead witness testing and client demonstrations, clearly explaining operation, interfaces and ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide technical advice, identify issues early and drive practical solutions with design, project and client teams.

You will bring a strong building-services background, excellent planning and stakeholder skills, and a track record delivering commissioning management in contracting or consultancy environments. As BSRIA and CSA members and APM-aligned project professionals, we will support your ongoing development and professional memberships.
