You will be joining a fast-growing civil engineering contractor known for delivering complex infrastructure projects with speed, quality, and serious commercial discipline. The team has grown past 150 people, with major frameworks secured and long-term expansion already underway. What You Will Be Doing
You will take full commercial ownership of high-value civils projects - from early cost planning to final account. This role is hands-on, strategic, and central to project success. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading commercial delivery across earthworks, deep digs, roads & highways
- Managing cost plans, forecasts, valuations, and financial reporting
- Running procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration
- Handling variations, compensation events, and change control
- Advising teams on NEC/JCT contracts and commercial risk
- Working closely with planners, estimators, engineers, and site teams
- Travelling 3 nights per week, with 1 hybrid day for flexibility
- Closing out projects with clean, timely final accounts

You are an experienced QS with strong civils exposure and the confidence to lead commercial delivery. You are proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable being the commercial voice on major projects. You will thrive here if you have:
- Civils experience (earthworks, roads, highways)
